I was looking on pinterest today and decided I was going to undertake a 30 day photo challenge. They had some really cool ones, but the one I chose isn't too specific so leaves itself open to lots of interpretation and therefore the opportunity to be creative. I have a huge problem with finishing projects, in the sense that I never do, so I hope I will manage to stick too it. Photography is one of the few things I am truly passionate about so I hope I manage to. See you tomorrow :)
I have decided that I am going to upload all the photos at the end of thirty days as opposed to inundating my blog with single pictures on each individual day.

flower skirts
I was looking on pinterest the other day and came across a really cute idea to use a flower and make it look like a person is wearing a flower skirt. Me and my friend didn't really take it that seriously, but ended up with a couple cute shots. The hardest part was the ballet posing, trying to make her look elegant with a flower on her. After a couple tries however I think we got it. For these I used a really cheep camera, which I actually found I like more, because it blurred the background much less then my t3, so it still allowed you to make out her features. if I were to do it again I would try to position the flowers better and maybe use a varied backdrop.

Stained glass shadows
While I was at the Cathedral today, it was mentioned that they needed a couple of photos to show it off in a presentation they where making. I felt kind of nervous about taking photos around the church when there were a bunch of people in it, because some people don't necessarily like having there photo taken without someone asking permission :p Also these would actually be used in a way that mattered, and would be judged on their ability to show the Cathedral to its best advantage. So I ended up only taking a couple of pictures of the stained glass windows and the light as it shines through, and they were really stunning and kind of magical. I hope you enjoy :)

Lazy day
I was having a lazy day today. I actually wasn't planning on getting out of bed but food forced me to get up. Why is it so amazing? and once I was up I thought I might as well do something with my time. I went round my garden and attempted to take some artsy nature shots. Nature shots don't tend to be my thing because I can't tell it to move a little to the left or relax, it is the way it is. But today the garden was being very nice to me and I ended up with some quite nice photos.

Siblings
I kind of forced my younger siblings to let me take photos of them today. They are really good to put up with me because I can be insanely bossy. I wanted some nice photos for a birthday present for my parents. Shutterfly has some super cool gift ideas to make with your photos, so I wanted some good quality, current cute photos of them. They just picked out their own favourite outfits to give them their own individuality and let the photos be more about there own personality, rather then what I thought would look good, and there were some super cute photos as a result. I also let them add in there own props like a umbrella from china town and big sun hat. Just taken around my garden, in the evening light which is my favourite time to shoot cause it gives the photos a really nice glow and makes the colours pop while showing off there beautiful smiles :)
